About TQQQ Momentum

Skips the 200-day MA regime gate entirely. Instead, it compares 5-day and 21-day momentum edges to rotate directly and frequently between TQQQ (bull) and SQQQ (bear), with an RSI oversold override to avoid holding inverse during panic rebounds.

📈Bull market

When short-term and medium-term momentum both favour the upside, holds TQQQ. Reacts quickly to momentum shifts, which lets it participate early in trend extensions.

📉Bear market

Rotates into SQQQ when both momentum windows turn negative. No slow regime filter means it can position short faster than MA-based strategies during rapid sell-offs.

↔️Choppy market

The most vulnerable strategy in choppy markets. With no trend filter, frequent momentum reversals trigger rapid TQQQ↔SQQQ rotations. Each round-trip on a leveraged ETF in a sideways market generates decay and transaction friction.

Key risk: Higher trade frequency than regime-based strategies means more exposure to leveraged ETF decay and the risk of being whipsawed on consecutive false signals in low-conviction environments.
